National Co. for sponge & Plastic Ind. Ltd (NCSPI) belongs to the renowned Hayel Saeed Anam Group of Companies and was established in 1974 as pioneers in the diverse fields of manufacturing Sponge, Plastic pipes and hoses, Polyethylene bags, durable plastic household articles, corrugated cartons, tissue conversion and plastic recycling.

One has to only look through the track record of the company for the last two and half decades to see the vast difference between the company’s modest beginning and the recent growth rate & expansion in its seven highly sophisticated computer-controlled plants.  The company has been able to develop and sustain a vast export market for a considerable share of its products to a number of countries in the region.  This has been possible due to the continued vigil and hard work done by its managerial staff and competent workforce by introducing latest technologies in the production process as also adhering to the highest quality standards possible.

NCSPI comprises of following modern plants having machinery and equipment representing the latest state of the art technology:

1.                  The first two Sponge factories in Yemen:

The Two plants, one each in Taiz and Sana’a produce mattresses, pillows and traditional Yemeni style furnishings in different designs and measurements suitable for all domestic uses.

2.                  Corrugated carton Making Plant:

Producing different types & sizes of cartons used for all industrial and agricultural packaging purposes including special cartons for fish and other marine products.  It produces both the ordinary cartons for every day use as well as the special wax coated ones.

3.                  PVC Pipes & Pipe-Fittings Plant:

Producing rigid PVC pipes and fittings of different diameters and specifications suitable for both pressure and sewerage applications according to DIN standards.  They are used extensively for water supply & sewerage lines, building projects, communication projects, irrigation and other agricultural applications.  The high esteem & reputation these products enjoy in the market is due to our highly qualified professionals’ own meticulous endeavours coupled with the expertise of ‘Wavin’, Holland.  A proof of this lies in the dependence of Government projects financed from its own resources and funds from International & Arab organizations, on our company’s products in their major projects in the various governoratets of Yemen.  This plant also produces flexible hoses for gardening, etc.

4.                  Tissue Paper Plant:

Producing all kinds of sanitary and hygienic tissues made from the highest quality raw materials available in the world market.  These products include handkerchiefs and kitchen and toilet rolls.

5.                  Injection and Blow Moulding Plant:

Producing a wide variety of plastic household articles and drip irrigation fittings.  The plastic articles consist of containers and various packaging used by industries for oil, shampoos, creams, etc.  The plant consists of 17 Injection Moulding and 7 Blow Moulding machines.

6.                  Polyethylene Film Extrusion Plant:

Producing a wide variety of flexible polyethylene film suiting to the needs of industrial packaging as well as shopping and garbage bags.

7.                  Recycling Plant:

The establishment of this new plant has been to contribute to the global efforts to create a cleaner and pollution-free environment.  This plant was introduced as a novel method to recycle all plastic waste into reusable form of plastic, thus preventing environment pollution. The various types of plastic waste is collected from the different locations of Yemeni governorates to be sorted, washed, ground and granulated to be used for producing articles of non-food application.

On the 7^th of May 1998, the company was granted ISO 9002 certification by the International Standards Organization, Houston, U.S.A. under Certificate No.33095.
